How to wear glasses correctly?

  • by LiuSamuel

Wearing glasses has become a daily habit for people, and myopic friends have even become dependent on wearing glasses. The author started wearing glasses for myopia when he was 10 years old, and now wears -6.0D glasses. It was not until he met a friend who opened an optical shop (that is, the co-founder of IFV glasses) that he knew how to wear glasses correctly. Let me introduce how to wear glasses correctly:

1. Is it okay to wear glasses all the time?

Some myopic friends feel that wearing glasses will affect their beauty, so they wear them sometimes and sometimes not. Optometrists suggest that if your myopia is below -3.0D, you can selectively wear them. If you feel that your naked eye vision is enough, then you don’t need to wear them. Wear it. If you are a friend with moderate to high myopia whose myopia degree exceeds -3.0D, it is recommended to wear it all the time, because seeing things is completely blurred, and some people will squint, which has a bad impact on the eyes.

2. Will my eyeballs bulge if I wear glasses for a long time?

Wearing glasses will not cause the eyeball to bulge. The bulging eyeball is usually caused by high myopia. The axial length of the eyeball in high myopia is relatively long, so the eyeball will bulge.

Whether it is low myopia or high myopia, you must develop good eye habits and eye hygiene. After looking for nearly half an hour, you need to look far away to relax your eyes.

3. When wearing glasses, you should pay attention to the following aspects.

3.1 Try to wear and wear glasses with both hands. If you wear them with one hand, uneven force on the temple legs may occur, the glasses may become deformed, and the screws may become loose. Sometimes, the lenses may be broken if you are not careful.

3.2 Don’t wear other people’s glasses, because everyone has different prescriptions, different optical centers, different temple lengths, and different nose pad heights, so it’s best not to wear other people’s glasses.

3.3 When there is dirt on the lens, if dry wiping the lens will easily scratch the lens, rinse it with clean water first and dry it with a professional lens cloth. If there are oil stains or sweat stains on it and it cannot be rinsed clean, you can add some neutral detergent. detergent and then wipe dry.

3.4 The folding part of the frame should not be too loose or too tight. The curvature and angle of the temples should be appropriate. The eyes should be aligned with the optical center. Otherwise, it is easy to have a prism effect, deformed vision, dizziness, bloated eyes, and prone to eye problems. Visual fatigue can cause strabismus in severe cases.

3.5 When not wearing, keep the lens facing up on the table. Do not let the lens come into contact with hard objects or high temperatures. Do not expose it to the sun on the driving platform of the car in summer, otherwise the lens will be easily deformed and peeled off.

3.6 When wearing glasses, avoid strenuous exercise as much as possible to prevent the glasses from slipping and damaging them. IFV recommends that you wear professional sports glasses to participate in sports

It is recommended that students go to a professional optical shop every 3-6 months and adults every year to have their eyesight checked and maintain their glasses. If myopia occurs, get a pair of glasses that suits you in time.
