How to Select Lens

A prescription, also known as an eyeglass prescription or eyeglass prescription, is a written document provided by an optometrist or ophthalmologist that specifies the corrective lenses needed for a patient's vision. The prescription includes several parameters indicating the type and degree of vision correction required.

IFV usually requires these lens parameters when customizing glasses:

  • SPH(S)--Spherical lens (myopia or hyperopia degree)
  • CYL(C)--Cylinder (astigmatism degree)
  • AXIS(A)--Axis position (direction of astigmatism degree)
  • Correct Vision(V)--(for example: L 1.0/R 1.0)
  • PD - Pupillary distance (pupil distance mm)

If you have a prescription, please provide it so that we can most accurately make glasses that suit you.

Washing Care

How to clean the lenses when they are dirty?
1. Clean water first, it should be cold rather than hot
  • When cleaning your glasses, the first step should be to rinse them with clean water. This is to wash away the small fine sand attached to the surface of the lenses that is difficult to see with the naked eye. The hardness of these fine sands is relatively high. If you wipe it directly with a glasses cloth, these hard and small sands are likely to leave small scratches on the lenses. These small scratches may not damage the glasses in the short term. It causes inconvenience, but if things go on like this, the lenses will become blurry.
  • When cleaning glasses, try to avoid using glasses cloth, paper towels, clothes and other items to directly wipe the mirror surface. If you are outdoors or it is inconvenient to clean with water, you should try your best to use eyeglass cleaner, or breathe on the lens to ensure that it is wet before wiping the lens to avoid scratching as much as possible. Marks are produced and the service life of the lens is extended.
  • Another thing to note is that spectacle lenses are afraid of high temperatures, because the current lens has a multi-layer film structure. When the lens is heated, it may cause expansion and deformation, affecting some of the additional functions of the lens itself, and even causing the film to fall off in severe cases. Therefore, try to use cold water when cleaning your glasses.
2. Use eyeglass cleaner as a supplement to remove stubborn stains
  • For oil stains and fingerprint stains attached to the surface of the coating layer, we need to use glasses cleaner. If there is no glasses cleaner on hand, you can also use dishwashing liquid, because generally speaking, dishwashing liquid is neutral. Avoid using facial cleanser, hand sanitizer, soap, shower gel, toothpaste, etc. These things are a bit acidic and alkaline and may have a corrosive effect on the coating layer, which may cause the coating layer to fall off over time.
  • After cleaning with detergent, put the glasses under the running water to wash away the residual detergent. Be sure to rinse away the foam, otherwise the residual detergent will leave stains on the glasses.
3. Finish with glasses cloth and wipe gently
  • Finally, gently shake off the water on the glasses, and then wait for the glasses to dry. If you need it urgently, you can wrap the lenses with a glasses cloth and gently wipe them dry. Do not rub and wipe them back and forth too hard. It is easy to produce scratches.
  • Be careful not to use clothes or paper towels to wipe your glasses to avoid scratching the lenses. Generally speaking, the fibers of professional glasses cloth are more tightly arranged and the cloth is softer than ordinary cloth, so you should use a clean cleaning cloth for glasses. Wipe. Of course, glasses cloths are also very particular. The quality of some glasses cloths may not be up to par. The fiber gaps are relatively large, and a lot of dust is easily collected during daily use. However, the material of current lenses is not like glass in the past. Most of them are made of resin lenses with multiple layers on the surface. The coating and wear resistance are poor, and if used improperly, they can be easily scratched by dust on the glasses cloth. We can usually choose glasses cloth made of common microfiber materials. Glasses cloths are also made of fleece fabrics, including single-sided fleece and double-sided fleece. This type of glasses cloth has a softer feel and is easier to use. It is also very gentle; there are more advanced suede fabrics, which feel like natural suede, fine and smooth, and they are clean and not easy to scratch when used to wipe the lenses.
